Participated in BOEING National Aero-modelling Competition, 2018.
This was the first time SPCE WAVE was participating in an aeromodelling competition.
Team designed and fabricated a 'Flying Wing' class UAV .
SAE ADC, 2018 - AIR 12
The UAV was designed to fly with weight equal to double the empty weight.
Participated in SAE Aero Design Challenge 2019, securing AIR 11
Two teams from SPCE WAVE participated one in 'Micro' class and one in 'Regular' class.
Regular class UAV was designed to lift as much payload as possible a while the Micro class UAV was mainly for aerobatics and manoeuvrability.
BOEING National Aero-modelling Competition, 2020, qualifying in Top 30
Competition was held at IIT Bombay and
SAE ADC, 2020 - AIR 8
The competition has 3 stages namely design report submission, technical presentation and flight round. Flight round is the most crucial stage where aircraft has to complete a flight carrying the payload.
AIR 2 in IIT-B Techfest - AeroVaccine Challenge 2021
Team designed a UAV for contactless delivery of vaccine shipments into remote locations in the period of pandemonium.
A long range and high endurance UAV capable VTOL (Vertical Takeoff and Landing) operations was designed and a detailed CAD model with simulations was presented at the competition.
Despite the online mode of learning and working amidst the pandemic, team did an astonishing job securing AIR 2
SAE ADC, 2022 - AIR 3 in Overall Performance (Regular Class) and AIR 2 in Technical Presentation (Regular Class)
We designed and manufactured a UAV capable of lifting payload double of its own weight.
The competition has 3 stages namely design report submission, technical presentation and flight round.
SAE DDC, 2023 - AIR 4 in Overall Performance (Regular Class) and AIR 2 in Technical Presentation (Regular Class)
We designed and manufactured a UAV capable of lifting payload double of its own weight.
The competition had 3 stages namely design report submission, technical presentation and flight round.
